Get paid to take the flight you were already taking
Already flying DXB → SVO, or EVN → DME, or anything in between? Pick up 2–4 duty-free orders on the way. A Stripe single-use card pays at the till. The customer pays you in EUR, on Stripe Connect, the moment you hand off.
What an average trip pays
If you take orders
Pass KYC once
Scan your passport (NFC chip read where supported, OCR fallback), confirm with Face ID, and complete the Stripe Connect identity + bank check. One-time setup, about 3 minutes. Without it you can't accept any orders.
Declare your flight
Pick origin → destination, date, optional flight number. Scan your boarding pass at the airport so the system knows you're physically on this trip — that unlocks the duty-free shopping flow.
Accept what fits
Browse the open-order feed for your exact route. Each card shows items, basket total, your payout, and remaining customs allowance. Accept what you have time and luggage room for — Stripe immediately allocates a virtual card per order you take.
Buy at the till
At the duty-free counter, your single-use Stripe Issuing card pays the exact basket. No cash, no advancing your own money. If an item is out of stock, mark it in-app — Stripe auto-refunds that line, the rest of the order proceeds.
Hand over via OCULAR
Meet the customer at the destination airport. Your phone listens for the ultrasonic ECHO their phone is broadcasting — proof you're in the same room. Both phones sign the contract. Your payout lands on Stripe Connect the same second.
What you need to start
International passport
NFC chip preferred but not required. We read it with the phone's NFC reader where supported, otherwise OCR + Face ID.
Bank account or eligible card
Stripe Connect needs a real bank account (most EU, GB, GE, AM, AE accepted) or an eligible debit card to pay out your earnings in EUR.
iOS 17+ or Android 12+
OCULAR ultrasonic handover needs a recent OS and microphone access. Most phones from the last 4 years are fine.
An upcoming flight on a covered route
Check the hubs map — if both your departure and arrival airports are listed, you're good to go on the first scan.
What faithful usually ask
Do I pay for the goods up front?+
Never. The Stripe Issuing virtual card is funded by the customer's escrow and scoped to the exact basket. You don't advance a cent — you can't even if you wanted to.
What if an item is out of stock at duty-free?+
Tap 'out of stock' in-app — Stripe auto-refunds that SKU to the customer, the rest of the basket proceeds. You still earn the margin on what you bought.
What happens if I miss the flight?+
Cancel the order in-app before boarding closes. The basket is reassigned to another faithful on a future flight; the customer is notified. Your rating isn't affected if you cancel before boarding window opens.
Do I declare it at customs?+
Items go to the recipient's personal use, within their country's duty-free allowance. The app shows the remaining headroom for the destination — if you stay within it, no declaration is required.
How quickly do I get paid?+
The moment both signatures are recorded on OCULAR. Funds land on your Stripe Connect balance, and Stripe pays out to your bank account daily by default.
Your next flight is also a paycheck
Set up your Stripe Connect account once. Take orders only when you feel like it.
